Phase One
Tarun had previously given  my some contacts to refer and interview for my project. He had asked me to take more opinions of people who are not from NID, to get a better perspective of Nal sarovar. I contacted Adal and had a telephonic interview with her.
Adal visits Nal sarovar once or twice a year, from 1997. She said that, previously they used to go there quite a lot, as it was a nice peaceful and a secluded place, where she could be away from her hectic life for a break. But, now a day, she said that due to the rapid development of the area, they don't go to Nal sarovar much. She said that they previously used to spend a day in Nal sarovar docking on one of the island as a picnic spot, but now they only spend maximum of 3 hours. The government also doesn't allow people to dock and have picnic spots now.  Adal always travels in the morning, where she makes it a point to reach Nal sarovar before 5 am so that she can get most out of the place. She also carries a bird guidebook whenever she goes, which helps her identify the birds, but proves to be very inconvenient for her. She always fixes boat rides before reaching the place as she has a reliable boat driver contact. This helps her not to be stalked by the guides.
This gave me a clear picture of the basic needs for a common traveller and gave me some new insights.
